What we like most about this transformation: This is the best use of space in the new dining room. The first thing you notice is the new position of the dining table, placed right up against the wall—something you don't often see, but in this case, ingenious. It's ingenious because it allowed Audric and Laurence to choose a longer dining table (and therefore one that seats more people) without cluttering the room or restricting movement. It also allowed them to create space to add a few stools to the island. The choice of the Arwin table was undoubtedly influenced by this ingenious idea. The choice of less bulky chairs, such as the Woodstock & Co. chairs , compared to the chairs in the old decor, also helps to seat one more person at the table in the new dining room.

In the kitchen, by replacing the section of cabinets above the island with attractive solid wood shelves , Audric and Laurence have more storage while also making the room feel more spacious! To see more of this transformation by Audric and Laurence, click here .

What we love most about this transformation is the brightness and lightness of the new dining room. The arrangement of materials and the choice of furniture have made a beautiful difference. To achieve this, Jacinthe opted for a pale cherry wood table that complements the existing maple floor, as well as white chairs that echo the materials chosen for the kitchen. The furniture pieces ( Oslo table and Woodstock & Cie chairs ) are delicate and refined and blend perfectly into the decor.

Fun fact : Do you see the green tape marks on the dining room floor "before"? When Jacinthe contacted us, the plan was to place the table perpendicular to the kitchen island. She couldn't decide on the size of her future table and asked for our advice. After asking her several questions, we suggested placing the tape marks the other way around (parallel to the island). From that moment on, everything changed, and Jacinthe was now ready to make her decision.

All this to say that if you have any doubts, never hesitate to contact us, our team is here for that!

What we love most about this transformation is the modern look of the room, as well as the color of the accent wall. We especially love the color scheme. The dark green, which goes very well with the gold of the wood used as a... tablet . A quick aside: to help our clients create winning wood and color combinations, we've already published a very interesting article entitled The ABCs of good wood and color combinations .

To continue with the appreciation of the new decor, we also believe it was a wise decision to eliminate the shower-bath and replace it with a black-framed glass panel, which blends wonderfully with the black brackets of the beautiful wooden tablet Woodstock & Co. The new layout gives a spa-like feel and it's very soothing! Marie-Pier even enhanced the spa effect in her bathroom by adding a few eucalyptus branches as decoration on the shelf. We love it!

What we love most about this transformation is... Fanny Duval – interior designer : It's the synergy of all the decorative elements in the dining room. If you take the time to analyze each element, everything has been carefully selected to create perfect harmony. The frames and their images coordinate with the table and the light fixture, which in turn coordinates perfectly with the chairs and the candles in the center of the table. Everything is impeccable! The dining room set creates a focal point in the dining room, that is, the first place the eyes land upon entering a room. It's refreshing because the room "before" was too cluttered; we didn't know where to direct our attention.

This dining room is synonymous with refinement for us. Moreover, the choice of the Oslo table and of the Oslo bench was perfect for this dining room. We also notice that the chair legs are tapered, echoing the shape of the table legs.

We are absolutely in love with this dining room! To see more of this transformation... Fanny Duval - interior designer Click here .

What we love most about this transformation, by CP Design , is the abundant natural light and the cozy, warm atmosphere of the living room . The design created a bright and airy feel with the generous use of white elements (walls, bookcase, and sectional), but to break up the potentially cold effect of too much white, Manon chose a solid wood table that adds warmth to the center of the room. We also noticed that a dark wood shelf was integrated into the wall-mounted bookcase, which complements the coffee table, creating a subtle connection between the two pieces of furniture.

The choice of the Prisme coffee table was judicious in this decor, because although the table is quite large (40 x 40 in), its refined lines do not give the impression of a piece of furniture that is too massive and the living room retains its elegant signature.

What we love most about this transformation is the mix of styles, creating a rustic-modern effect. We especially adore the old blue cabinet. vintage which gives the room a lot of vitality, especially placed next to the sublime white barn wood wall. In contrast, the choice of the The Oslo table , supported by the choice of delicate lighting fixtures, brings a slightly more modern touch to the room, allowing us to describe the decor as rustic-modern.

The new living area is also very bright, especially compared to the old one, thanks to the different shades of white, the choice of materials, and the addition of recessed lighting. Furthermore, even though we know that too much white in a room generally creates a colder effect, the white-painted barn wood wall adds a very warm touch to the dining room.

Another interesting change in the dining room is that Anne-Marie chose to place her chairs only along the length of the table, leaving the ends empty. This way of arranging the seating around the table also allowed her to choose a longer table without cluttering the dining room space. To learn more about the many seating arrangement options In the dining room, someone wrote a blog post on this topic .

7. Melissa's dining room

What we love most about this transformation, by Les complices design , is the "beach house" vibe given by the white wood paneling wall, a very trendy element that we see more and more in 2021. The rattan pendant light also gives a very natural and clean look, combined with a predominance of white in the room, for a maximum relaxing effect.

To contrast with the white room, Melissa opted for black wooden Woodstock & Cie chairs that complement the black frame on the back wall. Speaking of frames, the addition of irregularly shaped frames on the wall evokes the walls of our favorite uncle's fishing cabin, reminiscent of a "seaside vacation" theme. And to take the theme even further, we can already picture ourselves on the balcony, in a hanging hammock chair , reading a good book while enjoying the sea view. A lovely little setup, don't you think?

What we love most about this transformation by Manon Thibault Design is the Farmhouse style of the room, which is reflected in all the furniture and decor. In this setting, the focus is on the room's centerpiece: the dining set. The pale wood table, with its solid base, stays true to the essence of the style. Julie chose to pair it with white Woodstock & cie chairs for a soft, understated look, and we love it! In fact, choosing black Woodstock & cie chairs would also have been a great idea, to create a contrast with the walls and draw the eye even more to the dining set.

In the Farmhouse style, black accents are often found, whether in window frames, kitchen cabinet handles, or light fixtures. Here, a chandelier-style light fixture has been chosen, giving a very vintage /traditional look.

Another element of the Farmhouse decor that stands out in the room is the raw wood beam which creates a fictitious division between the living room and the dining room and which goes wonderfully with the white oak wood of the dining room table.
